June 2020. We can congratulate Moore & Buckle and ourselves for succesful product development. We have a production line to make Quality Steabag pouches into which pyramid tea bags are fed and then seamed.
We visited Westpack’s factory at Köyliö, Finland, and shaked hands on future co-operation. Their brand new HP Indigo 20000 digital printing machine uses compostable and save food colouring, and prints with High-Resolution technique.
In March 2020 after a joint development effort with Bio4Pack we can now offer a triple-layered 100 % compostable laminate created specifically for Steabags.
In February 2020 we conducted a market research at the most welcoming Hilton Airport Hotel in Helsinki. Here are the results . Many thanks to Haaga-Helia and Proof Advisory!
"Let’s look at the Spotless Tea Bag. Not exactly your standard stand-up pouch, but a perfect example of how it could be." - Anton Steeman, Best in Packaging.
The Japanese Patent Office has finally been convinced about the patentability of the Steabag® solution, and has allowed the patent application. This means that patent protection for the tea bag package preventing the staining of the table top by a wet bag will now - besides European Patent Office (EPO) - be extended also to Japan, one of the most fascinating markets of tea products and packaging!
